Dr. Ma has been in
practice since the late
1980's and
has taught as an assistant
professor at the Illinois
Eye Institute for more than
18 years. Dr. Ma brings her
caring thoughtful, and
extensive knowledge to the Dempster Eye Care, giving
her patients the most
superior eye care.
A graduate of St.
Mary-of-the-Woods college in
Indiana, Dr. Ma obtained her
doctor of optometry degree
from the Illinois College of
Optometry in 1987. She
successfully completed Post
Doctoral Clinical
Fellowship/residency with
special emphasis in the area
of Primary Care, at the
Illinois Eye Institute in
1988.

Dr. Ma has published
various optometric and
ophthalmology articles and
journals, and is on the
faculty at the Illinois Eye
Institute/Illinois college
of Optometry in Chicago,
Illinois. In 1987, she
received an outstanding
Young Women in America
award.
Dr. Sunae Ma is a member of
American Optometry
Association, Illinois
Optometric Association, the
Illinois Society for the
Prevention of Blindness, the
Morton Grove Chamber of
Commerce, KA Professional
Women’s Association, and on
the board of directors at
the Hanul Family Alliance.
With Dr Ma on board,
Dempster Eye Care offers the

disease detection and
treatments, and laser vision
co-management, using the
