A New Hope For Presbyopes
Varilux lenses are an exciting new weapon in the fight against presbyopia (a natural eye condition that affects the eye's ability to bring near objects into focus). These lenses use revolutionary technology so presbyopes can see near, far, and everything in between.

Millions of people with presbyopia or Long-Arm Eyes including current bifocal and trifocal wearers now see the way they were meant to again thanks to these amazing eyeglasses.

Take Comfort
Varilux lenses enable your eyes to make a smooth, gradual transition when you change your focus from near to intermediate to far vision. Unlike bifocal lenses, Varilux lenses eliminate the line that creates an abrupt, annoying vision change from near to far vision.

The added comfort of Varilux is achieved with an increased field of vision. This larger vision field reduces unnecessary head movements both vertically and horizontally, which means you can assume a more natural, comfortable posture when viewing objects at close and intermediate ranges.

With Varilux lenses, head movements are reduced to only half as much. The gradual and regular distribution of power characteristics in the periphery of the Varilux lens allows for very comfortable vision in a lateral, side-to-side gaze. The Varilux wearer enjoys larger fields of vision with less head movement.

Near the age of 40, a condition known as Presbyopia develops. It's a natural part of aging which makes it difficult to focus on things close. Since the days of Ben Franklin, the solution to this has been bifocals.

These types of lenses are now outdated. In addition to an unsightly line, their biggest limitation is that there is no clear vision at intermediate distances (such as a car dashboard, shelves at a grocery store, bank ATM machine, computer screen, etc.).

Varilux
is a progressive addition lens (PAL) that give you outstanding vision at all distances (far, intermediate and near) without any visible bifocal line. There are lenses that imitate some of the basic design concepts of Varilux  lenses, but it can not be duplicated. Varilux's multi-patented lens design gives you a wider range of vision with less head movement. It has the least amount of peripheral distortion ever.

Varilux lenses are an excellent choice even for those who are active with sports or even for those who work at a computer.
